Meet The Principals

Burton Engel, President
Burt Engel is a business professional with over 30 years experience in mergers, acquisitions, finance, management, business development, and marketing. Mr. Engel was president of both a New York Stock Exchange member and mergers and acquisition company. As a licensed broker/intermediary, he is a specialist in the valuation, structuring, financing, and marketing of private and public companies.

For the past 15 year Mr. Engel has been President of Venture Resources Inc. and Stenton Leigh Business Resources Inc. that specialize in mergers and acquisitions of private companies throughout the U.S.

Mr. Engel has been responsible directly and with staff in the sale of small to mid-sized companies for a total value of over $50 million.

Dr. Susan F. Schulz, President, Susan F. Schulz & Associates, Inc.
Dr. Schulz, president of SFSA and SFSI consultant, has been in the education field for over 20 years consulting with owners of private colleges and universities and non-degree granting institutions. Her doctoral degree is in Education Leadership with a specialty in adult education. Her dissertation, "Program Completion in Proprietary Schools," was among the first that used doctoral research methods in the postsecondary career school industry.

Dr. Schulz consults with career schools and colleges throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and abroad. Focus is on setting up schools, licensing, accreditation, school development and operations, program assessment and curriculum development, marketing, retention and placement strategic planning, and any area that focuses on school growth. A specialty is distance education, having worked as Director of Education of a national distance education school.

Clients include brick and mortar and distance education colleges and universities, large and small non-degree granting schools, and schools with multiple locations in multiple states.
